Story of Tim and his email

Recently I attended a talk by some IBM employee in my university. He was narrating an incident about a person he knew let’s call him Tim, and how Tim’s unmarried daughters pregnancy news was known to a supermarket’s data-analytics engine (studying the buying patterns of that girl with other pregnant women of her age) months earlier compared to Tim. The IBM employee was boasting the power of Data-Analytics, Machine learning and how quickly machines and algorithms can predict real life events. Although it might appear a “+1” to the machine vs. human race, to me it sounded very disturbing. Coming to our topic, the fundamental problem with Electronic Commerce is the big time invasion of your privacy. All your buying patterns, items you click on, items you add to wish list, taboo sections you won’t normally dare visit in “traditional stores” all get recorded in one huge giant database. And it is bound to happen sooner or later, as happened with Tim, when he received a mail suggesting him to plan in advance a baby-shower, leaving him completely flabbergasted.
Moving on from privacy, it is common knowledge these days India has seven billion dollar valuation companies comprising the likes of Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon India and Myntra. While to a layman the word valuation might not appear in his dictionary as it may seem these companies must have skyrocketing profit margins. Well the reality is, Flipkart in the FY 2014 reported a 400 crore loss, Amazon.in with 321.5 crore loss and Snapdeal with 264.6 crore loss. Now these numbers might be arguable, let me hit the nail right in the coffin. Google “Snapdeal loss 2015” and you will come to know, Snapdeal has incurred a loss of Rs. 1350 crores this year. According to Techcircle, Flipkart is losing Rs. 2.23 for every Re 1 in net revenues. Research also goes on to predict, “It is highly unlikely any of these companies will start to profit in terms of revenue before the year 2020.” Now even a layman would understand the actual reality is in contrast to perceived reality. The companies are shelling out huge amount of money and incurring losses by providing attractive discounts, only for customer acquisition and brand value. To a common Gujarati, alarm bells would surely be ringing by now as this industry could be a ticking landmine waiting to burst.
In the final paragraph I would like to briefly go over some other alarming scenarios. In a quest to promote and acquire customers, Newspapers have taken an absolute beating. It is shambolic to see front pages ridiculed with “big billion sale” promotions. With the way things are progressing our progeny might never know the meaning of “long term customer loyalty” or “goodwill and trust” as our parents currently do. In the traditional commerce, prices were decided by the local market meanwhile in the electronic commerce they are decided by the global market. For a country like India, where domestic trading is a major occupation, the underlined is has turned to was, as they have received a severe beating and the local traders has been driven out of their livelihood by the world of E-Com.
I am not sure what sort of a world we are venturing into, where Snapdeal sells houses, Ola offers boat and cafe services and Mobile makers preferring to sell phones online in listings and invites. The world is changing, true. We have to change with changing times, true. But only a fool won’t be cautious, what price we are paying for those changes as the cost of privacy and human relations are not known to many. I am sure like Tim you too will understand the gravity of the situation from Erich Fromm’s saying, “The danger of the past was that men became slaves. The danger of the future is that man may become robots.”

A home away from one

First Month at IIIT-B

Like every other freshman, I began my journey towards Bengaluru with anxiety. Having heard, “anything which is not South-India is North-India”, added to my woes. I could not decide what seemed the major worry - food or the language. Having resided in the “North India” for most part of my life; the (mis)conception of having to eat idli-dosa everyday seemed daunting and knowing only two words “kannada gotilla” simply added fuel to the fire of perplexity.

To ensure this does not become a C. Bhagat styled writing, I will skip forward past the melodrama of how I had a change of heart and mind on seeing the campus and blah blah. The first of the many memorable experiences I had begun with meeting the M.Tech seniors. The warmth in their conversation, and the sense of ensuring all juniors cozied in the campus was remarkable. In my mind, it definitely set a benchmark for an ideal senior. The experience with director sir and the professors struck my mind next. Never had I imagined, someone taking great lengths in conversing with students in person on WhatsApp. The respect for the college was there when I sat foot, but post interactions, it has reached a different orbit altogether. It feels like a privilege in becoming a junior again, and having so many people ensuring my well-being.

Late Night with Mafia Gang!

Onam Celeberation
Over coding and projects, lunch and snacks, new hostel with its problems, and late night work with puffy red eyes, I got to interact with the so called “Mafia Gang!” Good friends in my dictionary are THE integral part to survival in a foreign land, and I am very pleased to find so many students as crazy and insane as I am. The late nights spent playing and singing on the basketball court is a memory I will always cherish. As it is well said, “Friends are siblings, God never gave us”, I am very happy with the fact my next two years with these insane people will be anything but commonplace!

The most happening thing in the last weeks was the SAC election! It turned out like a typical Bollywood film- the trailer and the movie had a null set intersection. The initial phase of the movie made little harmony with the later; and the climax happened so unexpectedly, it definitely made a mark for itself as the most dramatic scene in the annals of IIIT-B. Having said that, the entire week was fun (Dubsmash videos: Hilarious!), election night was an experience in itself and the worthy candidates got elected which I am very happy about.

Ducks: Beauty of the campus!
Transitioning from one home (read B.Tech) is never an easy job and neither is the transaction ever atomic. It takes one packet at a time to find the right destination address and make a move. Over the last few weeks, a few packets have reached the destination, many are in the intermediate routers, and a few are stuck at the source waiting. I do not claim to have a solution to TSP but, the melodies in the quaking of the ducks and these last few weeks have ensured, in the smallest time all the packets will somehow reach the correct destination address. The correct destination address being “IIIT-B: A home away from one.”

The Gyne in Green

They were the halcyon days, I reminisce in time;
When the head was steady and mind sublime.
Alas, the anamnesis turned hazy in the current grime,
For her arrival was the reason prime.

The nerves pulsed, heart raced on her sight,
On the coiffed hair with the golden barrette; eyes reflected bright.
The prim green top and tailored red bottom shone in the light,
Espying her bight, I instantly knew it was to be a long long night.

Who is this preen gyne, creating chaos, an Egyptian Bast?
The though engulfed; not the time first nor the last.
“You ain't a fool, for she is some stranger”, mind cried in lambaste,
“Stranger for now, yet THE stranger”, replied the heart aghast.

Countless clocks must have ticked by I do not know,
Language and Distance separated me from saying hello.
The mind chimed, “She is out of your league bro, for all you know,”
And I understood, without a show I will simply remain a John Doe.

Days turned hazy, nights uneasy as despair grew,
Broken Fragments by the havoc inside all lay strew.
The eyes unperturbed, searched for her in the blue,
And time then stopped; her eyes ensnared my sight is all I knew.

Her gaze was magical, absolutely surreal, was she a mage?
The world around instantly disappeared, leaving me estrange.
In her eyes, language and distance weren't a barrier for exchange,
And in those eyes, my mind had its fill; How so strange.

I saw a glint in her eye, shattering me along with her spell,
A deluge of emotions erupted, returning me to my present hell.
The magic lasted a mere second yet I couldn't return from the quell,
As the grandeur from her spectacled eye, still, continued to dwell.

The plethora of emotions, were they cryptic or did she comprehend?
Was she aware the causatum of her spell or was I at dead-end.
After a long time, I longed for, to talk with a friend,
Yearning desperately to share my despair with someone to apprehend.

I pondered, surely my odds with her couldn't be infinity,
In a real world there must be some limit to her divinity.
With a newly discovered courage I decided to reduce the proximity,
But alas, even words had me stranded in sight of her femininity.

Have I reached the cusp, I wondered as night turned grey,
I concluded, “Its best few fantasies never see the light of day”.
Seemed the mind had its way, as I decided to call it a day,
But hey! Such is life, story did not end, as she decided to play.

The game of time commenced, she pushed a pawn forward,
Yet seven weeks of experience, made my king to remain cornered.
Both of us tangoed in sync, making things more awkward,
And the clock ticked on, reducing order in the game disordered.

Tired of the mental commotion I yielded my armour and shield,
For I knew, “Winner was the real looser”, such was the battlefield.
…When time elapsed, she did have the weapon to wield,
She sought victory, only to realize I had long ago chosen to yield.

Her head turned, annoying the sun playing with her cheek,
Conjuring words of initiation, at the pace of a magic trick.
Yet, somehow the resonance in her words weren't there to pick,
And I found an unknown territory, unsure which route to seek.

The eerie silence of the heart reverberated around, a cry of agitation,
The sun still enjoyed playing, yet now the reflection lacked a reception.
“Dearth of resonance, What on earth do you mean”, Heart in introspection,
The mind advised, “She aint a bast! And if a magician, then with imperfection”.

Definite chatter could be heard, yet the air lacked a magical symphony,
We did exchange odd pleasantries, but in absence of harmony.
There was a strange nonchalance this time; void of agony,
Two eyes met, hers might have lingered, but mine sought some other destiny.

We soon parted ways, time prohibiting a farewell rite,
With a clear head I wondered, “If she was a bakushan, I a hypocrite”.
Maybe the saga needn't taken place, had I not been a fool of sight,
“Or maybe not”, the future me might enjoy this reading in delight.

As the pen comes to an end, do not judge I declare,
The journey of life is such, someday you will have a similar despair.
In the current anamnesis this story was a bout a gyne having a debonair,
And at a time when my machine was infected with a malware.

UTOPIAN Wedding! Cheers!

If marriages were thought to be sacrosanct and superlunary, well, I will consider that a good one! I just recently heard, a DDU pass out had spent 4 years of his college haplessly after a girl; at the end turns out the girl had romance in the X direction and Marriage in the Y. From all the experience I have inherited so far from my seniors – “at the graveyard, Romance is for the zombies” or “It’s a fairyland as long as you stare, after coming to reality paisa padi jay” and many others, I think it’s a pretty clear analogy 75% attendance is to a semester, as marriage is to a girl. No matter how much try catch exceptions you implement, it finally ends with the mirage deal breaker - marriage.

What I personally have never understood is the concept of Indian marriages (just to name one. I also don’t understand why good guys get “friendzoned”, or how girls can multi-task several boys at THE same time.) Every marriage I see a bride, an unanswered question arises, why on earth she would undergo such a torture! - High heels, heavy really heavy sarees, a minimum few kilos of makeup, a ton of jewelry and hell lot of safety pins. The guy, well he arrives on a horse pretty much sums up his story, a scapegoat. This is merely the foundation of insanity. The next bewildering function() is to stand and smile for almost a quarter of the day. People will push and pop out of a queue, but the bride and the groom have to bear the brunt. Smiling throughout the day, as if a joker is enacting in front of them. I have a hunch, 99%grooms end up giving their bride a foot massage (Yes, on the very first night!) I for one always feel as if brought to an aquarium. Begin a circular event and check out all the fishes, I mean food. Meet various people. Prepare to smile at any and every question asked by the relatives similar to the practice followed in viva-voce and continue having the utter boring small talks. One default question I get to hear every time is “Oh god you have grown up so much. So Tall!” As if the relative has found some time travel and had returned back the same age! Well once the initial formalities are done, constructer variables are initialized, guys get to eating, and girls get to gossiping, I mean socializing. I wonder if instead of sending marriage invitations, why not send Hotel Vouchers?! Should cut the deal…

Why this tradition has continued for eternity and beyond beats me. My personal opinion is, the so called happiest day of your life should be enjoyed and one should not feel having arrived at a zoo. The bride and groom should have a statue created just for the queue to click photos. The audience list should be called up in batches! Yes like we have for labs. This way the couple can spend quality time with their friends and loved ones. There should be a dress code, a person weighing half kg more than her actual weight on a normal day, barred from entering. And yes, before you write me off saying it’s a thinking of a mad man, think about how cool it would be to propose on a roller coaster ride and get married in a roller coaster park, or well getting inspired from “ajab prem ki gajab kahani”, getting married while being mobile! Yes my search is still on for an equally resonating utopian girl, but till then humming Shakespeare's “Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?” listening to Lara Teasdales “…But the kiss in Colin’s eye haunts me night and day” and focusing on managing notes for the next sessional exams.

Let it be but a slime

Let it be but a slime

Looking back over the year,
Remembering when things were like a quince,
Alas, somewhere it all became dire,
And went downhill ever since.

I try to recollect about that little seed,
That on genesis evolved to a mighty big tree,
Unfortunately, I wonder of the deed,
That caused a vast Yangtze.

Was it a bad endeavor,
Or an absence of synergy,
Maybe it was a wrong venture,
That made it seem a tyranny.

Realizing now, I have more to the past,
Compared to the current vagaries,
The poignant reminiscences are evolving fast,
Leaving behind all, but a trail of dusty memories.

It seems grief perpetually trails every apex,
And an apex leaves no room for satisfaction,
Yet ye is an ibex,
Who does not seek the greedy transaction.

The final destination had its perks,
And it’s hard to cognize the current janus,
But my heart I guess always knew, regardless of the quirks,
The journey was all that mattered paralleled to the terminus.

I fail to recollect the last memory of that sweet seed,
The one which caused an euphoria,
I guess bitter fruits over time will make it bleed,
To a point where all that shall prevail, is scoria.

They say, this too shall pass,
The efforts cannot be reimbursed in the current lifetime,
But at the death, if it’s all a sass,
I wish to demand, at least let it be but a slime, let it be but a slime.

(p.s This marks my first attempt at so called "poetry"! Had always wanted to try writing a piece which would bring some solace. A piece that came in a flow, on the spot, from the heart, which is quite a big deal for a brazen heart.)

The irrelevant number@8.55

It was 10 o’clock on an empty bus, heading to Nadiad for the start of yet another semester in an endless journey for a piece of paper which was the degree certificate. Hardly two days break between the end of one sem and the beginning of the next. The heart though was beating at a faster rate compared to the bus speed. Had just horribly goofed up the NA examination. What was more troubling was in the retrospect I felt I was a bit over prepared. Not having learnt from one AE sessional exam where I had tried to study almost everything with very little sleep, resulted in a single digit score… The lowest so far. Alas sometimes one does not learn from his mistakes :/ Hence on that bumpy ride to Nadiad… I dreaded the result… The shaky experience at the time of the examination where the mind was totally blank which had never happened before still continuously hogged my mind.

A few weeks passed and by GODS grace, somehow got over the border with a couple of marks to spare and where my sessional score out of 36 was more compared to the final score out of 60! But a decent attendance at classroom and an inquisitive approach to study in the labs … somehow managed to fulfill my targets.

There I remember driving on one hand a speaker phone on the other, unable to believe I had scrapped through. And that’s where I thought for the next semester I did not want to repeat the same history. No more madness in studies. And to accept that achieving targets is secondary as compared to enjoying the journey to the final destination.

Having decided that the 4th sem seemed so far to be the best and the most memorable one! Having had the pleasure of studying with some of the most “Interesting” Profs, learning seemed secondary compared to the enjoyment and fun in the class.

A week before the exam somehow I managed to watch over 20-25 movies along with fully following some 6 or 7 odd sitcoms. Twice managed to find ppl for chit chatting way into the night. And during the exam time, wanted to focus more on learning rather than scoring and strictly no more deprived sleepless nights. Had wanted to just score some 40 odd of 60 and finish the wonderful semester on a high! Somehow on the completion of the exams, I actually and honestly missed the past few weeks. In the hindsight they seemed some of the best days at Nadiad.

On yet another result time, I received the best present in a long time. Not that it mattered, but getting an otherwise meaningless number more then what you expected makes your parents especially, very happy.
Well what I feel is I still am under performing BUT if this is how I can still manage to get through I would gladly do that, for this number is not worthy of giving it your full potential. Moreover the recent RCB fiasco at the IPL has taught me one thing Do not reach your peak early on! For after that it’s a downhill ride. And I am glad I am no 9 pointer cause maintaining that would be a lot of energy and makes one sound like a geek! And lastly irrespective of your goals and pointers, if you learn and manage to make peace with your past, the future always would turn up good.

Lastly and hopefully if I remain sane throughout the remaining 4 sems , I would like to remind myself and to everybody else “The best days would be the ones when you start enjoying your academic along with your exam days”

Nokiac3 to Galaxy Note 2

The wait that had lasted for years for having a proper phone seemed to come true some few months ago. Back when I was small I was always fascinated by the use of stylus in the PDA’s (back then) or the mini computers… To me it looked cool. Since then I was always hoping to use a phone which to me seemed cool.

Having used (& broken) Ngage Qd and having lost a Sony Ericson Walkman series phone, the wait to me seemed to be quite long. Then came Nokia c-3 which was a semi-smartphone “back in the days” and it only increased my frustration.

But during those waiting periods I learnt the authenticity of certain notions. Having seen the secrets and its laws of attractions , and having read the shiv kheras- you can win , and having attended sneh desai’s mind training workshop , earlier I was hopefully optimistic. But with time I realized it’s better to be realistically optimist than hopefully optimist.

I must admit Nokia phones always taught me some wonderful lessons-

“No matter from what height you throw a nokia phone , no matter how many pieces it gets disintegrated into…Whenever you reassemble back , you start functioning like ever”.

Moreover like most of the things in life the enjoyment is in the quest or in the fascination. The day I changed the sim into Note 2, I felt as if all the wait for worthless. It was just another device which I am sure over time (sooner rather than later)would feel like an outdated model.

And even though I have a cool phone(acc to me) I still miss my old Nokia-C3 and the reasons being never having to look at the battery , Trying to run as many apps as possible , Rotating the phone in the hands , Occasionally throwing it up in the air , Never having to worry about forgetting the charger….

Man those were some good days… K

LOOKING IN THE MIRROR

I looked through the mirror and saw a young boy sitting

in a chilly Air Conditioned room, looking a bit out of place. A blank notebook on his lap and a two rupee pen in his hand. He was wondering how in just 6 months of time his entire life had taken a 180 degree spin. Since past two years he had planned , prepared, wanted and had given up almost everything to go northwards and suddenly in 6 months there was only South visible all around.

At the start of that day a bench was put up asking for subscriptions of a collage newspaper. The boy   saw a very attractive poster at the subscription desk. And without any further thoughts the boy just paid for 12 issues of the collage tabloid... It was the most pleasant respite from such a boring lecture when A few hours later the doors of the MMH broke open and entered e a group of fat and jolly looking seniors. They had asked all students to come to Room no 1 at 5.30 if interested in being a part of the editorial team.

At the end of the college at 5.30, the boy was in no shape whatsoever to enjoy the remaining day having had EG torture as the last lecture of the day which could be really life threatening. Already having said no to his friends for any further plans in the day, he was preparing to move back and spend the rest of the day sleeping. On closing towards the Gate of the college he for some reason paused, and the announcement suddenly flashed in his mind.

It’s so weird how small stuff trigger some decisions you make in your life. Already he was physically and mentally tired and rest of his friends were dragging him to move along,… what happened nobody knows but he retraced his steps all the way back to the room no 1. He entered 20 mins late and saw a room full of students scribbling on a sheet of paper. On the board were topics to write on. The boy quickly settled down jotted some gibberish on the paper and left. The boy on leaving out of the door thought to himself it was a serious waste of time and energy. Seeing no chance on being selected he cursed himself for not listening to his friends.

Days later he finds out from the same
friends that his name was written on a piece of letter which was entitled the Editorial Team and was displayed near the center foyer.A year from then the boy is sitting in a seminar hall. He comes to know that the university wants to create a world record. On the first of Jan he is a part of a team which led to the making of a world Record.

Looking at that moment now I wonder how could anybody judge or question the workings of the nature. How quickly does life transform. One moment the unexpected happens for a bad reason and on the other for a good reason. I still wonder what would have happen had I not stopped and not retraced my steps back to Room no 1.How on earth was I selected by a teacher who had not even met me ,on the sheer basis of some gibberish written by a mentally saturated student at the end of a tiring day at colg. How one change of mind can literally start rotating your life? How a second can change the path and medium of transportation towards the final destination. I distinctly remember debating once with the very same teacher who was of the opinion Golden Opportunities continue to come in Life. I would like to disagree once again with this article saying once that opportunity is gone it is no more golden.

That one moment has created an altogether different opinion towards colg life. Having met some of the most wonderful and “hatke” thinking people who unlike the other zombies are still alive. Staying and working with such a group is an honor which only a few can ever get in their lifetime. Currently imagining life without CONNECT seems very insipid. I can’t thank enough too many people, but guess it isn’t really required. Cause words would never be able to bring justice to what is required.

In the End I would conclude saying there are no logical explanations to certain things in like a change of Mind. What matters is not having regrets at the end of the day. And for that one seriously needs to break the shackles of the stale mind and logic and start taking impulsive actions towards few if not all scenarios of life. Till date I have no answer to what happened that second when I suddenly retraced my steps back. And till date wondering how many such chances have I already wasted and have never been aware of…

Sparks from Failures.

So strange, many times I have wanted just to avoid failures. Not actually striving for success, but focusing on NOT to succumb to failures. This mindset overtime has  driven life into a point of saturation. A unary attitude and response towards things. Like A sparkles life, lived by the zombies. But like most things in life, overtime the inevitable happens. The hope that if you believe in something, does always takes place- comes crashing down. The worst nightmares do come true. Everything you hope would never happen, actually materializes. Your most dreaded moment comes true. The very foundation of hopes and beliefs gets shaken up.

The dreamy world ends. There is no going back, trying a different approach. You suddenly feel more alive than ever, as if the divine powers have changed the count of the years. Blood starts to rush in, with the heart beating a distinct echo. All sorts of questions hover your consciousness, with no consoling answer. Thoughts emotions, nonstop pondering erupts a catastrophe inside your mind. A sense of disappointment sinks in. The fact that you failed your expectations, your standards is way worse than anything else.

This moment for me is the one which reignites the fire, from the ashes of the mechanical life. To find a purpose to the mechanical activities. To revisit the basics. To rediscover the fundamentals. Learning to let go, and accept the reality. Us ing this spark to once again rediscover the answers. Remembering the past happy times, taking a leaf from them and to start the journey to relive those moments. To the destination where you could bounce back and look back saying –“Ha! That was needed to bounce. To reach newer heights”. All in all it helps find a purpose and a destination.

The last few weeks have been full of hidden lessons for me. Having taught me, things can and will go wrong. Nightmares can and would come true. Though you might be the best, but if it’s not your day there is nothing much you can do about it and you have to accept that. To learn to ACCEPT failure. To understand that sometimes the journey is what counts rather than the end destination. To understand that life is more complex than hopes and beliefs. But the main lesson-This is not the end. Just a beginning of the journey to bounce back.

Lessons from a chess board

"Said a wise man: life is a chessboard of nights and days. Where God, using men as his pawns, plays. Hither and thither moves, and checkmate, and slays, and one by one he places them back in the box. For each pawn has its fate, as does each player, as does God. Fate will be met."

The discussion began on an ideal cloudless night, the molecules in the atmosphere ceased vibrating and the cold wind sent occasional shivers back your spine. It was the perfect setup after one heck of a month, living at a graveyard and returning to heaven. Spending time with your friends , moving around the lake and chatting. The perfect setup for a relaxing chill out.

Now the twist in the almost perfect scenario came when one of my friends commented on the discussion of life, having learnt something from the game of chess. Now I call it the twist because, for me it was like a brilliant blind man trying to describe a painter the vivid colors of nature.

Not only his statement shook me up, it made me realize people change every moment, all you have to do is empty your cache memory full of perceptions.

He said “A game of chess, like life, requires you to take a single move at a time. If you plan the future move and all you think of is playing that killer move, you miss out on the present moves of the opposition, defending your king and on most cases you tend to lose the game. Hence even in life it is more important to take single move at a time instead of planning the future.”

Now having passionately played chess myself, I told myself that is a very apt simile. I wondered how much there is to learn and relate from small things such as a game of chess. That night It got me thinking that chess aint a mere game. It holds great Morales for a person to learn. Moreover it also describes one of the fundamental facts that many people fail to look at. Although the game ends when a king dies, a king can only move one step at a time. Whereas the queen can roam around the entire board as she wishes and even if she dies the game moves on! :|

Now other thing to learn from a game of chess is that all the pawns are born similarly. All have the same capabilities. All are born on the same rank and all have the same properties. All have 6 steps in front of them to transform into something majestic. Yet in most of the games only a few reach that rank. Some of them gets killed in the process. Rest get stuck up and render pointless in the game. Although the pawn on reaching that rank may boast amongst his fellowmen, for the player playing this game it is mere amusement. For him it is irrespective which pawn stays in the game, which gets killed. All are a part of the game and are only there for the master to win the game, Regardless which die, left pointless, or progress ahead.

A Famous Italian Proverb-

"Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go in the same box."

Isnt it true at the end of the day we all have to head to the same metallic box. No matter what gender, race, caste, income, religion we belong to at the end it all comes to whether we have helped the master win the game. In the real world helping the master win the game would indicate –Being a part in making earth a better place. Or as they say today “BEING HUMAN”.

Well I guess, there are loads to learn, from small things in life. There would always be someone who could think diffrently. And that reminds me of a David freeman quote.

"The more you know, the more you realize how much you don’t know — the less you know, the more you think you know.”
